An oasis of peace and coziness in Amsterdam

After the war, a campsite was established in the Vliegenbos in Amsterdam Noord, which underwent a metamorphosis this year. Thanks to the creativity and thoughtfulness of K3H, a beautiful and pleasant city campsite was created, which offers space for tents, caravans and campers, but also has hiker’s cabins. CAT Control Systems was called in as a party for the access automation.

Access to the city camping

For the access, keypads have been chosen for the sliding gate and pedestrian gate, with which guests can gain access based on a PIN code. In addition, there is a barrier system with license plate recognition. This allows guests to make a reservation online, provide their license plate and gain immediate access to the campsite. This prevents long queues at the reception.

Access to tractor cabins

The hikers’ cabins can be reserved online. They are equipped with CAT Lock cylinder locks from CAT, which also allows access here without the intervention of the reception. “Our cylinder locks are very easy to install, have a modern design and an IP66 and SKG3 quality mark. Quality is what we stand for”, says Ruud Sieraad of CAT “Although we only arrange access at Stadscamping Vliegenbos, we can also measure and control gas, water, light and electricity. This creates a CAT SmartHome, with the option of giving technical and facility notifications via the management app”.

Pleasant cooperation

Erik van der Linden of Stadscamping Vliegenbos is a satisfied man. After months of preparation and execution, the end result is fantastic. “We are very enthusiastic about our collaboration with CAT. They work as they promise, keep their agreements and are always available for good consultation. This is something you don’t often come across these days. Where we needed help, we got it and thanks to the efforts of work preparation and mechanics, a well-functioning, polished installation was left behind. Where do you see that these days?”
